Mobile network infrastructure is built on the quality of its civil foundations. FTTX has been delivering the ground-level structural and civil work for cell tower sites throughout New Zealand — working alongside Tier 1 contractors and mobile network operators to build the infrastructure the country's connectivity depends on.
What We Deliver
Cell Tower Foundations
We design and pour the concrete foundations that mobile tower structures are anchored to. Our largest completed foundation pour stands at 85m³ — a scale that requires precision planning, quality control, and experienced crew coordination. We deliver foundations that meet structural engineering specifications and the sign-off requirements of tower owners and network operators.
Steel Procurement, Placing & Tying
Reinforcing steel supply, placement, and tying for foundations and structural elements. We manage this in-house — from procurement through to placement — maintaining control over the supply chain and avoiding the delays that come with coordination between separate sub-contractors.
Concrete Placement
Structural concrete pours for cell site foundations, equipment pads, and associated civil works. We manage our own concrete placement operations, with the crew and plant to handle large pours in constrained or remote locations.
UFB & Fibre Infrastructure
Our involvement in New Zealand's Ultra-Fast Broadband rollout has given us experience in the civil requirements of large-scale, nationally coordinated fibre deployment. We bring that experience to telco clients who need a civil contractor already familiar with the compliance and quality standards of major network programmes.
5G Backhaul Infrastructure
As 5G adoption accelerates, the demand for new cell sites and upgraded infrastructure is increasing. We're positioned to support the civil build-out required by multi-design 5G installations — the more data consumed, the more sites need to be built, and we're ready to move with that demand.
Working Within the Telco Supply Chain
We operate as an approved sub-contractor within Tier 1 principal contractor supply chains. Our experience with Downer and Fulton Hogan means we understand the quality, safety, and reporting requirements these relationships carry — and we meet them.
